I am currently using skin created by Kali name 'Simple machine'
As I do a customization, I was able to bring 'Recent story' to the main page. But recent story only show 1 very recent story though.
I have a 'most recent' tab on my menu list. Is there a way where I can modify the code so I can have most recent stories listed on the main page?
I tried to several coding but it fail to list the most recent story. May I know what specific code I should use?
This is my fiction site and the main page is currently showing the most recent story. There are 2 same story because apparently the code that I try to adjust able to list more than 1 story but it only capture 1 recent story.

Log in as admin
Go to Admin->Blocks
Under Recent click OPTIONS
Change Number of Stories to a higher number like 10.
Click SUBMIT
It should then show the latest 10 stories on your main page if you have it set to appear Index Only.

What is the different between Show index only and active?
If you don't mind me to ask another question, currently there are 10 stories show on the main page with title and Summary, is there a way we can modify the content of the recent story? Where I can show the number of reviews as well as publish and update date?
I think that Active turns the block on and it will show if the skin has the code for recent on the skin template, Index only will show the list on index page. I'm not 100% sure on that though.
As for modifying the rest of it... you would probably have to create a template and change the setting in Options from Default to Use .tpl.
