This is another small bug fix release. This release collects all the small fixes that have been posted in the SVN over the last few months.
I'm still working on version 4. We have a few of the other devs checking out an alpha version at the moment. I may try to put up a preview on my site for everyone in the next couple weeks.
Tammy,
On the download page the link still says it's 3.5.2 although if you click the link it does download the correct 3.5.3 zip file.

Huh... can't edit my previous message. But one more thing. Ran the update, didn't see the usual Run Update message. So I clicked Run Update in the Archive Management. Told me there was nothing to update.
I click Version Check and get:
You are currently running eFiction version 3.5.2.
The current version of eFiction is 3.5.3
You need to update.

Ah. Crap. More connection issues with Comcast apparently. The updated file didn't update. I'm fixing it now.
Will Version 4 have the ability to ban by email address? And, would it have an intuitive way to make all memberships need approval before they can join? Just making us have to 'activate' the membership before they can use it would be nice. There is just one person who is hacking across many countries and using other people's IP addresses, but his own email address. π I can't successfully keep him out otherwise by IP address, as he doesn't use his.
Thanks!
ps. one thing I've noticed with Comcast (or charter...don't remember which computer I was on, but thought it was at parents house) is that if I update something with the same file name, it will automatically give the OLD file instead and refuse to give the NEW file. π Thus, my picture is exactly like the old goof. Probably not your issue though. Annoying! lol
Not the forum or the thread to be asking this in.
Ran the update...
How did you do this? Is there a way to do it other than in "Archive Maintenance"?
So I clicked Run Update in the Archive Management. Told me there was nothing to update.

I'm getting this same message. I'm trying to update from 3.5.2 to 3.5.3. I checked this forum and a few others, as well as the FAQ. I still haven't figured it out.
Do I have to simply re-upload all the files? I made changes to my skins, so I'm not looking forward to doing that, and I'm not sure if it'll just turn everything back to their defaults. Any help would be appreciated. I could be missing something. I'm blind and use a screen reader to navigate the screen, so I apologize if I'm asking something that's already been answered.
When did you download the zip file? I had that problem at first but Tammy did upload the corrected file. Unzip the download and replace all files except Install, skins, and tinymce. Once you've replaced those files. Visit your website. It should be in Maintenance mode but you (as admin) will be able to log in. When you log in you will see a message that reads: Ready to Update? Yes or No (or something to that effect). Click yes and it will run the update. You shouldn't have to go to Archive Management for this.

Are you still working on 4.0 of this script?
