URL to your eFiction: here
Version of eFiction: um. the newest?
Have you bridged eFiction, if so with what?: ...what?
Version of PHP: No clue, I'm guessing the newest?
Version of MySQL: ... MySQL 5.1.50-log I think
Have you searched for your problem: yes
If so, what terms did you try: mySQL, database, users
State the nature of your problem: See below.
Do you have a test account for us? no

I am using freehostia.com for my hosting.

The FAQ says to do the following:
1. Log into your account
2. Go to MySQL databases
3. You should see an place to create a database and user. (It is usually at the bottom)
4. Once you have created your database and user you should see an "Add User Option" followed by two drop-down menus, one for the user and one for the databases.

I was able to do the first three, but am unable to do the fourth thing. When I create a database, it has me creating a password for it. Is this the same thing as step four?

Thanks in advance πŸ™‚

ETA: Whenever I try the install with whatever information I can get, I receive this:
Cannot connect to the database. The information you supplied appears to be incorrect. Please try again.

That sounds like cPanel instructions, where you need to associate the database with the user, but I don't even know if freehostia uses cPanel. That's definitely a question for the hosting company. Possibly someone else here is familiar with Freehostia, but in the interest of speed you're better off talking with the host.
