Hey there people!
I'm new in eFiction and this forum, and I recently created a website with it. My question is:

Is it possible to upload files with different extensions rather than just HTML?

Like, can I upload a Microsoft Word file (.DOC) or other text file extensions? Because it annoys my users to have to convert their files into HTML instead of just uploading them. Can someone help me? Is there a way to configure the eFiction files to admit more extensions? πŸ˜•

You can do HTML and TXT, but nothing else right now. I don't know how difficult it would be do change that.

I've not started the coding, but I've started doing the research to allow people to upload ODT (Open Document Text), AbiWord, RTF and Markdown TXT which will all be converted to HTML/XHTML...

It should be doable with mostly off-the-shelf PHP classes although the RTF class I found needs some heavy fixing as it uses egregi instead of pregex.
