So, in relation to this topic I posted a while back (thanks for your reply, Sheepcontrol), I've realised that the problem is far worse that I had originally thought.
I'm running eFiction 3.5.5 and I've recently moved all of my websites to a new host. Immediately following this move, things on both my eFiction site and my phpBB3 site started having multiple issues. My web host suggested I downgrade the PHP version from 7.2 to 5.6 for both sites, so I did and that fixed the phpBB3 forum, but not the eFiction site. I'm at the point where people can't create accounts, recover passwords or even post stories successfully. I can currently only read a story if I go into the admin edit screen. Otherwise it's not displaying at all. I'm swamped with e-mails about the problems, but am clueless as to how to answer them. I was wondering if I should upgrade to the most stable version of eFiction 5.0 to see if that solves anything as it really can't get much worse than it is now. Where can I download that anyhow?
I am open to any suggestions, but please keep in mind that I am no PHP expert. I learn from trial and error. I prefer not to link to the site here, but am happy to provide admin login information via private message to anyone willing to take a peek. Thanks in advance!
I actually have no idea how to get the error logs, but looking into it now!
If I were to just give you access to everything, would you be willing to take a peek? I am beyond frustrated with this now and if I can't work out how to solve the issues, I might as well trash the site. No one has been able to create an account or post a story in ages now. If you could spare a few minutes, let me know and I will message you the information.
