URL to your eFiction: http://www.walkingtheplank.org/archive/index.php
Version of eFiction: 3.4.3
Have you bridged eFiction, if so with what?: None, from what I know of.
Version of PHP: 4.3.11
Version of MySQL: Sorry, don't have this info.
Have you searched for your problem: Yes.
If so, what terms did you try: Fanart, shortest stories, fanart as shortest stories, top tens.
Do you have a test account for us? No.
State the nature of your problem:
The moderators and I have noticed that when you search under the Top Tens, under Shortest Stories, we get fanart. http://www.walkingtheplank.org/archive/toplists.php?list=shortstories. All of the fanarts have one word. Anyway, is there a way that stories, not fanarts, show up under the top ten shortest stories?
Thanks for your time. π
I could probably edit the short stories query for you, but ... what distinguishes fanart from the fanfic? Is it JUST the category?
Edit: (if it is, indeed, just the category :P)
toplists/default.php
Find:
case "shortstories":
Replace this line:
$where = "ORDER BY stories.wordcount ASC";
With this line:
$where = "AND catid != '3' ORDER BY stories.wordcount ASC";
That should do it. Although if a fic is in more than one category, with fanart selected, it won't omit it. I don't think that's a problem for your archive though.

Sorry it took me so long to reply to you about this! First of all, thank you so much for taking your time to give me a fix. Unfortunately, it's not working. π
Hm, how odd, which cat id are you using? o_O

I copied and pasted the code you gave me, actually, and didn't change anything. Should I have changed something? Eeek!
Oh! How strange... cat 3 is your fanart category... The catid != '3' should be telling the query to get all entries except those in category 3.
I'll have to look in the DB and such, see if I have the right names. x)
