Hi there,
this is a welcome to the Wiki Team, hope everything is set with proper permisisons, if not, please say so, I'll try to get things sorted out.
Moderation access to wiki is based on group membership, same that allows access to this sub forum, so if you can read this, you should be able to work on the wiki.
I completely spaced and missed this post!
The backup to the old Wiki was lost, but was there a table of contents or something that we can use to start getting the info up? (because I feel like I don't know where to start!)

At some point, the old wiki would no longer run with the updated php version of the old server, and since nobody had FTP access there was no way of installing an updated version. I even asked the waybackmachine, and she said:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_NAMESPACE, expecting T_STRING in /home/timet4/public_html/efiction/wiki/includes/Namespace.php on line 49
TL;DR: All is gone
Forgot to add: the wiki is live again on http://wiki.efiction.org - but empty so far. Loading is a tad bit slow so far, maybe it's the bridge, need to figure that out.
Hi Sheepy,
Thought I'd start by copying over some info from the super-old wiki ( http://editthis.info/efiction/), but whenever I try to save a page I get the following error:
Sorry! We could not process your edit due to a loss of session data. Please try again. If it still does not work, try logging out and logging back in.
Tried logging out and logging in again (via eFiction). No luck.
Suggested fixes here after a quick google search.

Same here, maybe the bridge to/from SMF is borked, will look into it.
Apparently I am on the team, because I can see this. : ) That's good. While I had nothing to do with the creation of the wiki, I was for a couple of years one of the few (if only) people who updated it. In particular I did a lot of work for the skinning stuff

The basic way it was laid out, particularly for the skin files, was on a file basis. So each .tpl had its own page to explain what kind of stuff it did. I think that worked fairly well for that application.
The rest was overview as well as troubleshooting. The installation guide was up there and expanded. Mostly it was answering FAQs type stuff.
Seems the wiki is alive, if anybody feels like, take a look, you should be logged in via the forums.
If somebody could set up a basic structure, like eFi 3 and eFi 5 support, FAQ, skinning guide, that stuff, this is not my are honestly.

I guess I'm the resident wiki expert. π I'll begin setting up the basic structure of the wiki now. π
For whatever reason, Corey deleted her (?) account on this forum, so we are back to Zero
No worries, I'll chip away at it again when I have a few spare minutes...

I'm okay with wiki. I will take a look at it later this afternoon.
I am having some thoughts about basically what you could call layout or file structure.
First I will say what I think is the approach I would go with. In the old wiki I think it worked well to have a page for each major file in the script, particularly when it came to the skin files. I think also stories.php and viewstory.php etc. might also have had their own. Anyway, thinking ahead to the new version, I don't know if there would be some overlap in the use of file names, and I think we'd want to have separate pages for the versions 3 and 5. (Perhaps this doesn't matter as much for skins since I don't think template power is being used.)
I know that categories and things can be created to help with this, but should we also have a naming convention for pages? For instance, something that is version 3 specific start with something like "v3"?
