[MODULE] Recommendations

I was wondering; is there a bug fixed version of the rec module available? I would really love to add it to fanfix.de 🙂

Oh, and after I installed the mod, will it remain if I upgrade the efiction someday? I mean, will I have to install it again everytime I upgrade the standard efiction? 😐

No.  It's not going to be included in the official eFiction download.  You can download it from my site and install it separately.

Mhm, I'm playing around with this a bit. I had the same problem noted a bit further up - the blank admin page. I made the chances suggested and the admin page is coming up. But I still can't validate recs. The link is playing in a loop. When I click on the rec waiting to be validated, I'm simply being taken back to the same URL: http://angst.waking-vision.com/admin.php?action=modules&module=recommendations&admin=true&task=manage

Any ideas what I'm missing?

And what do you see on that page?  On my site I see a list of recommendations waiting to be validated.  I click on the validate link, confirm, and the recommendation is validated.

I see the admin page for recs (Allow anonymous recs and so forth) and below that the sentence that there is one rec waiting to be validated. When I click on that I end up on this same page again. Interestingly though, it appears twice: If I scroll down I see the same things again.

Crap... I have this same error, I always figure out how to get around it to restructure the link so that it works properly, but I never remember to write it down and or fix the module... crap... I'll post if I remember.

Sorry to dig up an old thread here but I'm having some trouble with this module.

So we had an old version uploaded and it works fine but wasn't allowing readers to "favorite" recommendations. I upgraded to the most recent version, 1.4.2 downloaded from here http://hugosnebula.com/downloads/category-14.html and favorites now work fine.

However I'm having trouble with searches. When I search anything, if there's a match in recommendations it will say at the top "X-number Off-site Recommendation" but when I click that link, it just lists all the recommendations, not the ones that matched the search. Any idea where to start poking around to fix this?

I would like this on my site. I went to click on your links and they appear to be broken says site cant be reached.

can you show me a working link including to download it please

I've attached it for you. I think it was the was recent version. But it's still from 2008 so I have no idea if it is still working without problems.
