First I have to say I am not Chad (CazBandit), he passed away suddenly on March 27. I have taken over his websites for now at least until they can be disbursed to others or shut down.
On his hpfanficarchive.com website, he has a banner that links to his Go Fund Me page asking for donations for server fees. I edited the Go Fund Me page to reflect that is has become his funeral/memorial fund.
What I would like to know is how to change the banner on the website. I am a complete novice. Can anyone guide me on this? I have access to all of his accounts, etc. so I can get into whatever is needed but I would need literal step by step instructions for dummies 😳
I am also wondering if someone can help me with the legalities of fanfic sites and how they work in this situation when the owner has passed away. I see that many have posted that their stories are not for sale but I will not be able to keep the website going for the long term. It would be an incredible loss to many if the site just closed so I would like to know whether I can offer it for sale to help with funeral expenses.
