yes!!

now my host says he saw the story even if I can't.
as a regular member it says the story wasn't validated like it appeared at my host at first but now he said he saw the story correctly o.O
Now I'm installing efiction again just to see if that validated problem it's solved but after I will see yet again if the story keeps not appearing.

I'm afraid this is happening only in my pc o.O

I would be thankfull to anyone who can give it a try, to be sure if visitors can't see the story either

nick: test
pass: test2

edited: and yet another bug, after I go to "edit" the story and choose to validate all the story and to make in "complete", the story keeps apearing at the homepage like incomplete. (and the validation warning to regular members keeps being the same)

edited 2:the host confirmed that he sees the story text as an admin, and as regular member, what confirms this is my problem even if I can't realize why.

I checked, and when I clicked on the story without being logged in, it told me I needed to be logged in to view it (which is a normal thing). So logged in and tried, and then I got this: Access denied. This story has not been validated by the adminstrators of this site.

If you've been changing things and they're not changing, that to me sounds like database connection issues. Look in the database and see what things are set to. If in fanfiction_stories validated is set to 1, then it really is validated and you've got another problem (although I guess it could be a problem retrieving from the database). If it's set to 0, then your database isn't being updated when you change stuff. Same thing for completed.

I suspect, from the fact that it's showing on the home page, that it really is validated, it's somehow thinking it's not when it's pulling the database info.

I guess my Host can see it all normally because he's the host? LOL

here's what he said:

We tried deleting the story and the result was:
The action was successful. Back to Admin area.
So the problem is not related with the servers, nor the software, but some kind of misconfiguration on your local computer

I already answered him saying I can't change my settings but I have a feeling he will just said he edited the story without problems.at least now he was informed other people that not him are having problems too, and probably it's a mysql problem.

(in mysql the validated is set to 0, what means you're probably right, mysql it's not working like it should)

edited: his answer

We don't know how to explain you that there is no problem with the software as if there was such, how would we be able to see what the text/story was? Or how did we managed to remove the complete story using the admin login if it is not working?

I talked about the validated set that shoulb be 1, let's see what he says about that --'

about the mysql problem their answer was

Unfortunately we don't know why the table is not getting update and also note that we do not offer script support.

I think it's obvious that if they're the only ones making the site to work the right way when the rest of us can't, it's probably their problem, but I got no chances if they keep telling me it's not their problem.
they're trying again to validate the stories, what's nice of them even if I'm sure they won't have any problem doing it, what's the main problem.

Well, maybe what's happening is that for us it's timing out or something? And it works for the support guy because he has better access or something? I don't know. It seems like a hosting issue.

I agree. I'm trying to tranfer my domain to another host, I hope it works even if this time it's a free one.
