One of my authors was trying to delete a chapter and accidentally erased her whole story. If there a way of getting the info back? I'm on efiction 3.1

Are your stories stored in your files or database? If database, then it is possible that your host make regular backups. I suggest asking your host if they can restore the file, or you can download a backup of some sort. Most hosts that have cPanel for example have backups.
For future reference, try and remember to make frequent backups, at least once a week. When an author deleted her story by accident off my site, I just went into my backups and found the story saved there. It was a week old so the new reviews and stuff was missing, but it was better than nothing.
But yeah, do what Carissa said and ask your host if they have it saved.
Whoever said nothing is impossible never tried slamming a revolving door.

Isolate the story/reviews/chapters &c. if possible and run that.
I actually take a nightly backup, just in case anything like this happens. 😛 Thankfully, with a small archive, it rarely does.
