It seems like the problem is in docs/settingstable.sql and docs/tables.sql
Download the attached ZIP, and overwrite the existing files in your docs/ folder with these updated ones.
I've just run a test install and it worked without a problem (don't forget to run the SQL Injection fixes mentioned in this post!)
Let me know how you go π

Hi there - I'm getting the same loop error: "This update has already been completed. No further action is needed." - I've done all the fixes requred and nothing seems to get me out of the loop. I can get through the install fine, when it gets me to the end, I get the update error.

Hi dsecrets.
Can you PM me with an administration username and password?

Yes, just sent it to you. Thanks for helping π
Ok, so I did a fresh install, imported in my database and got a white screen with just the maintainance message on it. I added in the "fixes" (docs, install, and hotfix) and now I can get to the update screen. When I click yes to continue, I get this error:
"A fatal MySQL error was encountered.
Query: CREATE TABLE `fanfiction_coauthors` ( `sid` int(11) NOT NULL default '0', `uid` int(11) NOT NULL default '0', PRIMARY KEY (`sid`,`uid`) ) TYPE=MyISAM;
Error: ()"
I dumped the coauthors table from my database, but I still get the same error. I've imported it back in now, but still no difference.
EDIT: - I did some searching on the forum and I got to here: type-o in 3.4.2 - Changing my version setting helped. So I think I might be ok now.

Bravo! How's it running now?

I have aesthetic issues now - for example, my site info is showing "Challengers: 1" is running down the page multiple times, Account Info menu is doubled and so is the menu in the Admin panel. I might have to check skin info?
But at least I can access the site now π
