Hi,

Is there a way to require validation for all of the stories of a certain member?
Or would the entire site have to be validated?

I ask because I have a writer that is allergic to disclaimers and I really am sick
of e-mailing her several times a week.

Thanks.

I'm not 100% sure this would work but if you set it so that all stories post automatically too the site and then go to this member's profile and click "revoke validation".  That should send their stories to the queue.  I haven't tried it but theoretically it should work.

Thanks! πŸ˜€

I'm going to give it a shot because short of banning her, I'm out of options.

It won't.  Sitewide settings will trump individual settings.  You could set the site to require validation then set everyone BUT her to be pre-approved.  You'd then have to approve each new author...which might not be a bad thing.

Thanks, Tammy.

You were right, of course, it didn't work.  You're also right about approving new authors.
It would probably be a good idea to skim fictions instead of just allowing anyone to post.
I have almost 2200 members, so this should be "fun". >.<

Thanks for all of the help, guys! πŸ˜€

You could run a MySQL query to change all instances of validated in fanfiction_authorprefs to 1, then go into her profile and revoke hers.  I just did something similar to turn off all three notification types for ~12,000 members.  (I ran it on my test site first, though.)
