Version of PHP: php5 i believe, i was searching on dreamhost

Have you searched for your problem: Yes. I saw this https://efiction.org/forums/index.php?topic=6937.0 but doesn't exactly help my situation
If so, what terms did you try: I've tried "upgrade" "old database" etc
State the nature of your problem: I've listed it below.
Do you have a test account for us? Nope
I had an old version of efiction up and running awhile back. I have since changed hosting companies and after having too many problems trying to move and upgrade, I simply started from scratch and decided to plug in the necessary information. I have run into a problem. I upgraded to the latest version. I have gotten most of my databases back into the admin but now it's trying to upgrade again. Is there some way to trick the script to think that it's already updated? Or how do I get past this? If I say yes, it says that the tables are already there. Should I delete them and do it again?
Also, I couldn't get a handful back in because it says "Column count doesn't match value count at row 1 " I have searched through the forums for a solution and none of them seem to work for me. Suggestions?
Thanks!
I've decided to start over and so far things are going good. I am still having the problem with the column count though so any help with that would be much appreciated.
Is that the full text of the message? Also, what's the URL when that message comes up? I'm interested in maybe what files might be related though it sounds like a database issue.
It's definitely a database issue. That's a mysql error. There should be more to it. From your first message, I'd say if you're trying to use an old database on a new install, your old dsatabase is from an older version and the database structure has changed since then. Install the version of efiction that matches your old database then upgrade to the current version.
I had found a newer database and cleared everything. I used the database to insert parts, double checking that everything went through. It seems that everything has except "series" which I need to work on. I did come up with another problem so I'm going to post that in another thread. Thanks for the help guys!
