Hi

Firstly, am I allowed to modify some files to allow iframes ?

I uses iframes on my site and wondered how I go about embedding the efiction with the same site design.

I am sure that it is possible.

http://milleniumpsychics.net/Biblioteque

to see the frames just miss off the biblioteque in the url.

Secondly,

Would it be difficult to change this? if not, which files would I need to edit and what code would I need to add so the links arrived in a target="content" tag please.

the idea so that the efiction runs flush with the rest of the site.

many thanks
Kate

I have seen some sites that have modified their eFiction so that it works the way you have described. I have yet to experiment with iframes, so I can't really give a good opinion on how it should be done.

Hi Becca

Sorry, I got the wrong forums again. Also I still have not worked out yet how you get the new sign up next to your post in these forums.

I dont know php coding which is why I am asking. I dont know if they modify main php files in the scripts or in the skins themselves. There does not appear to be an option for linking so the pages fall inside an iframe inside the admin panel where you can add a new link. It is so the iframe runs through the entire efiction script itself.

One thing I have learnt as I have been doing this is to always take a copy of the original script and skins :)).  πŸ˜€

I will think some more and have a play around in the skins.

best wishes Kate

Hi

I should have probably made that a lot clearer ... what I meant was how do I make the menu links arrive in an iframe target. I am using 3.2.1 version.

Am currently looking through tutorials and php files.

many thanks Kate

I don't think this is something you'd do within eficton. You'd need to create a skin as usual, then import the skin using an iframe to the page you wanted it to appear on, right? I only know the basics of how iframes work but I'm pretty sure this is how you'd do it if you wanted efiction within  your existing layout.

If you just wanted to pull individual elements of your layout into eficiton, then you'd just put the html code in your skins.

Bump.  Is this resolved?  The topic will be closed if there's no response in the next week.
