I've been having this problem for a few weeks now, stories I put in feature will just suddenly disappear and I will have to hit feature again. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

I've had that problem. I think it's a bug but I haven't been able to recreate it. Every once in awhile I'll notice that a Featured story lost its Featured Status. I think it happens when the author edits their own story. Admin edits don't seem to loose it.
Have you been able to figure out what you do to cause it?

I just did a test story on my new account, because we were having this problem on 2.0.7 and wanted to see if we still had it on 3.3.

I was able to add a new chapter and edit chapters fine without the ribbon disappearing. When logged in as an admin, I could edit anything and the ribbon would not disappear. The only time I was able to vanish the ribbon was when editing the *story* as a regular author (the summary or whatever). I tried making any changes in edit story (even marking complete). That immediately deleted the ribbon.
All I can figure is that since authors don't have rights to add Featured status, when they edit the story, the admin add-on of Featured gets left off. If you'd like to check for yourself, the author's password is (shocker) pass.
