Hi
I have now got efiction bridged to smf and the smf bridged to e107. The queries.php path is correct.
However, when I test it registering using the link given in the instructions, the registration doesnt work for the smf (not sure if this is in the efiction or smf files). Also, when you log in as a new user it loses the efiction theme and just shows the text and links on a white page when you click on account info and other efiction links.
What I have noticed is that it all works very well with the admin log in but not the normal member log in.
The pages are set to show in an iframe on the site page.
click on Your Account to test it if needed.
What do I need to do to solve the issue of the disappearing themes please? Unless I have bridged them in the wrong order perhaps... I bridged efiction with smf first then the smf to e107.
The idea being one log in for the whole site instead of making 2 site accounts.
Sorry if I have posted in the wrong forums again. It is not really a theme question as in making them.
many thanks
Kate
This is something you're probably going to have to figure out for yourself as you've created a unique situation for yourself. I'd start by first making sure each installation works separately before you start bridging them and then bridge them one at a time. The way it sounds like you're done it you have no way of knowing where the error is.
I had the same thing happen to me on Rated-MK.com. In my case it was eFiction bridged to SMF and coppermine bridged to SMF.
Skins made by Kali are no longer supported!
Hi
The software was installed seperately and tested first and works great. I am wondering if I have bridged them in the wrong order. I have no issues with the smf and the efiction bridge it works great :).
I think getting the path correct for the smf bridge inside the e107 is the one thing I am not sure if they mean the smf to the smf bridge or the Forums folder itself and I have to play around with the paths to see what works. I find this sort of thing confusing not knowing php. They talk about relative paths and absolute paths. Sigh.
Many thanks for all your inputs am glad I am not the only one who has had this same idea :). I will think on it and keep on trying.
best wishes Kate
