Do you have a test account for us? No

Hi everyone, I recently upgraded my board to 3.5.1. after having problems with the smf board. I had to override my old files on smf due to some errors and I also ended upgrade the efiction bridg. Everything is in working order except that the efiction board has stayed in maintenance/upgrade mode. When I log in to my smf board, I still get automatically logged into the efiction however I cant get out of maintenance mode at it. It will say "This update has already been completed. No further action is needed." when I'm logged in. Or it will say The Board is in maintenance.

I checked my phpAdmin to make sure that maintenance setting was on 0 and it is.
Is there anyway I can fix this?

Your SMF board is in maintenace or your efiction site is in maintenace?  If it's eFiction use phpmyadmin to check the version number in your settings table.  If it's not 3.5.1, change it there.

The efiction board is stuck on maintenance. I just put the SMF board on maintenance while i get this fixed

I changed the version in the defaultfanfiction_settings. It had been set at 3.3 and I changed to 3.5.1 and still nothing. The efiction board is still in maintenance mode

I've changed the Maintenance setting in the defaultfanfictions_settings to 0 twice. In both the Length/Value and Default.

I double checked the bridge and I followed all of the directions so I'm not sure why I still stuck on maintenance mode

Whenever my SMF board was on maintenance the eFiction automatically went to maintenance. Maybe that is overriding your eFiction maintenance mode?

Skins made by Kali are no longer supported!

I've decided to go back to 3.4.3 for the time being. That seemed to work and I was able to get back in the board and turn off maintenance from the admin panel.
Hopefully I can eventually update to 3.5.1.  πŸ˜•

You can always try updating to 3.5.1 without turning maintenance on first. I always forget to turn it on, and the upgrade went fine for me.

I commented out this line in the header.php somewhere around line number 154 (my header is modded and yes I've tried the original too)

$newV = explode(".", $version);

and was able to access the admin panel, but now I get this warning message...

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/.karnak/darkwoofe/devianthearts.com/header.php on line 156

I restored my site back to 3.3 then upgraded to 3.4.3 and from there tried upgrading to 3.5.1. again. It didn't work, so I've gone back down to 3.4.3 (which is still an improvement). If anyone has any insight into this, please reply. I'm pretty sure that the update isn't running at all for the move to 3.5.1. as I don't think that the database tables changed. I was going to try 3.5 but I'm out of time right now. If I get to try or find out why this isn't working, I'll post here.

I always install fresh, makes sure its installed right and port the data over. This might be a struggle depending on table structure, but it's all behind the scenes so once accomplished, I switch beta to live (server folders, often copy paste works in ftp) and off the old live one.

That's a pretty good idea! Does anyone know how much difference there is between the database tables of 3.4.3 and 3.5.1? Will I be able to just add the data to the tables or will I need to add some of it by hand?
