Ok maybe it was me sounding like Mr. Show-Off ... sorry for that.
I was thinking about attaching a cache for the query with an expiry of like a few minutes to lower load, but since those two issues we encountered seem to be hunted down there's no need for that anymore.
Now can I just overwrite the individual release files with the SVN version or will that cause major pain in the you-know-what ?

Unless you've edited them in some other way, you can overwrite the files from the SVN. If you want to check them manually, you can use the diff tool to see the specific changes.
Someone please update as to whether or not this has been fixed (newest SVN files) by testing on their archive. Thank you!
