Hi,

I got a report last week from a user who said she was having an error message appear whenever she tried to log in.
Here's the error:

A fatal MySQL error was encountered.
Query: INSERT INTO fanfiction_authorprefs(uid, userskin, storyindex, sortby, tinyMCE) VALUES('21', 'Dark Grey', '0', '0', '1')
Error: (1062) Duplicate entry '21' for key 1

I did a complete reinstall and reset all my tables and I thought I'd gotten it fixed, but today I got a post from another user who is having the exact same problem. I don't know what the problem is or how to fix it. Any suggestions would be extremely helpful.

My site is located at http://maturetwific.com

Thanks in advance.

Use phpmyadmin to look through your authorprefs table.  Find the users who don't have a userskin.  Edit that entry to give them a valid skin.

Thanks doing that now. I don't see why this wouldn't work, it really does seem isolated and not all of my users are having this problem.
