Is there anyway that we can control who signs up and goes past the point to read stories? Such as being able to approve users before they are allowed to read?
The quickest way I could think to get around this would be to tick the check-box for "Registered Users Only" in the Ratings section of your admin panel.
A lot of eFiction archives require you to be logged in to view stories that are of a mature rating, but you could always tick "Registered Users Only" for all of the Ratings?
I don't know of any way to actually modify the registration process so that you have to authorise users before the registration is complete.

If you wanted to have absolute control over members you could go a step further and set up a manual form on your website and you could create the member yourself?

Hmmm that's a good idea and maybe do the form so that they could submit their information and I give them a password. I didn't think about that!
