Have you searched for your problem: Yes
If so, what terms did you try: Tracking module, tracking stories
State the nature of your problem: I have had the tracking module on my archive for a long time, and all of a sudden I've been getting e-mails from members saying that they aren't getting e-mails when stories are updating. It still has the [stop tracking story] and the "you last read this story on (date)" but no one is getting e-mails. Is there any reason why this would be happening? Do I need to reinstall the module?
Thanks in advance!

If it was working before and isn't now, it's almost certainly not going to be a problem in the module. It's probably something that's changed in your hosting setup. Check if they've got a limit on the number of emails you can send out per hour. Some hosting companies are implementing stuff like that to stop spammers.
Thank you for the suggestion. I just contacted my host to ask if they were implementing anything like that and will get back to you as soon as I know the answer.

Well, they replied and said that there aren't any blocks, and when I said that I had just tested it myself, he said that the mail looked like it was delivered successfully.

Ask the people who aren't getting e-mails to check their spam/junk/trash folders.
Does the tracker module send out emails? I thought that was only for things you've favorited.
Actually, I don't believe it does now that I think about it. I think it just flags the stories you're tracking and shows you which have been updated since you last read them.
That's what I understand it to be. It just means that the OP's problem isn't with the module. Email is horribly unreliable at my site so that's why I installed the module.
cloudyvisions: this is a problem for a lot of people, so a quick search on the forums should net you some good tips.
