Have you searched for your problem: yes, and I thought i had solved it but it's just made it worse.
If so, what terms did you try: Validate stories
State the nature of your problem: At first my stories weren't auto validating but I had a look at advice give to some other people with the same problem and changed my settings, it's no longer asking me to validate but if you click on a story it says that the admin needs to validate the story and I can't find anywhere to validate.
I turned on display errors in php.ini and got the errors below.
I tried displaying the value in $sid and $_REQUEST["sid"] in header.php and instead of being, say, 10, they're a long hex number like F97E7783......

This is a newer install or a recent upgrade? If so it might be worth re-uploading the files to make sure everything's okay there.
Brand new install, if I reupload the files will it affect my members? Will I lose any of the stories that have already been uploaded?
EDIT: Ok, so I can see my stories if I log in on my laptop or if I log in on a incognito window and see EVERYTHING. Stories work and I can review.... but I still can't see anything in my normal window. I've tried closing it completely and opening it in a new window and nothing works.
Reuploading the files won't affect anything, with the following caveats:
1. Don't overwrite the stories folder (shouldn't be a problem as it doesn't exist in the directory)
2. Don't overwrite the skins folder or you'll have only the default skins again
3. Don't overwrite modules or blocks with the base folder, if you've added new ones
4. Don't overwrite config.php
This is a strange problem. Have you tried clearing your browser cache?
Ok I cleared my cookies related with my site and now everything works. 😐 I'm not 100% sure what I did to fix it but I'll let you guys know if it breaks again...
