Sorry, they're just a bit too general to categorise:

1. If I upgrade to 3.5.2, will I lose all the settings I have changed in 3.5.1 in the admin panel?
2. How do I change Most Recent so that it displays the most recent chapters added rather than stories most recently updated?
3. How can I change it so that when someone clicks on a story link, they are taken automatically to the table of contents?

Thanks.

1. Unless you added some special mods, running the update will not mess anything up.

2. Not sure on that sorry

3.Go to Admin->Settings->Display settings; look for where it say USE STORY INDEX and change it to Yes.  Click Submit. [Mind you when a person logs in and they don't want to see the index they can change their individual setting under their Account Info.]

2. You can't.  Chapters don't have any dates assigned.  New chapters update the date on the story.  However, Most Recent is the most recent stories added OR updated.

2. You can modify the script to give the chapter a date, but it will only work on new chapters; not old. It should be somewhere on the forums. I remember a submittime field. :B

Pocketmouse,

For your 2nd question if you are not feeling fearless and wanting to change the script codes, what you could do is when you know there's a new chapter added to something, you can just announce it in the News section of your website. I don't update my site often but when I add a new fic I pretty much go ahead and announce it, and put a direct link to the new chapter.
