URL to your eFiction: http://gcfanfics.com
Version of eFiction: 3.5.3 (but it was doing the same thing on 3.5.2)
Have you bridged eFiction, if so with what?: no
Version of PHP: 5.3.4
Version of MySQL: 4.1.22
Have you searched for your problem: yes
If so, what terms did you try:-
State the nature of your problem: Whenever you add a new story, on the preview it shows a co-author when one wasn't selected and also displays two series. The co-author and series aren't actually added when you click "add story", but for some reason they show on the preview. This happened with the 3.5.2 version (I can't say if it was recent or has always been like that since the upgrade- I have no idea) and I tried upgrading to the newest version but it is still doing the same thing. I've tried disabling co-authors and series in the admin settings, but the two still display when you try to preview a story. As far as I know, it's always the same co-author and series that show up, but I can't figure out why.

Yes, and it's always "Joel Loves Riley" and "Vampires" (or something to that affect) for the series.

Use phpmyadmin in your hosting control panel to check the database.  See what uid and seriesid are set for those items.  I'm guessing somewhere along the way those got set to 0.

No mods currently - I uploaded all new files and transferred everything into a new database.

The uid and series id look normal. The uid for the penname is 10353 and the seriesid for the two series that display is 16 and 17- so that wasn't it.

I deleted the series and they no longer show up on the preview. The co-author still does, but I guess I'll just transfer everything to a new account to fix it. I just thought it was a weird glitch and I couldn't find anything wrong. It might have been something weird from the last update and I just never noticed it.

EDIT: So I changed the uid of the penname and it's still showing up as a co-author. I'm out of ideas.
