@Jaded I can't reply to your post for some reason.
If you see "deprecated function" and no fatal error on new hosting, it means that your hosting does not PHP error displaying off. It should be off on the live site.
Deprecated function notices/warnings are not the reason why your site is not working. Look for Fatal errors in your server error logs.
Never say that something is impossible because there will be always some dummy who will do it.
