URL to your eFiction: http://tvbcentral.net/fanfic
Version of eFiction: 3.5.2
Have you bridged eFiction, if so with what?: No
Version of PHP: 5 (under Dreamhost)
Version of MySQL: 5 (under Dreamhost)
Have you searched for your problem: Yes
If so, what terms did you try: respond review
State the nature of your problem: See below for full details
Do you have a test account for us? No, but you can always create an account at the fanfic site

I recently opened a new fanfic board (see above for link) and my only problem is that there isn't a field for authors/admins to respond to reviews. I've searched through all my settings and can't find anything relevant. Any help/assistance would be greatly appreciated! Thanks much!

Note: I run a 3.3 version of efiction at http://avodyssey.net/fanfic and the review response feature has always been there.

Well first of all, admins shouldn't be able to respond to reviews on other people's stories.

I signed up for a test account and submitted a test story.  I have the respond link in the review I submitted for that story.

The strange thing there is I have 2 delete links.

Ah, I was being completely muddleheaded there. I thought admins get to respond to any review. In fact, is there a way for us to allow all registered members the function of responding to reviews? I think it'd be very helpful especially when a certain review stems constructive discussions.

What did you mean by "The strange thing there is I have 2 delete links."

And thanks so much for the incredibly prompt reply!

Never mind...it isn't strange.  I got a delete link for being the author of the review and a delete link for being the author of the story.  Generally, you shouldn't be both.

And not there's no way to let everyone respond.  You don't want to either because responses are limited to 1 per review.  You'd have to rip the entire thing out and re-write it.

And because this has come up recently already in various ways, this isn't forum software and we're not going to make it forum software.
