I just added a new admin. every time she tries to access the admin section she gets this error
A fatal MySQL error was encountered. You are currently running eFiction version 3.5.2.v
anyone know whats wrong?
Thanks
What level admin is she?
Does it give the actually error message?
It's going to be a database query that is failing. She's trying to access the main admin page?
It gives the error message. and she's trying to access admin.php
Thanks
And what level admin did you make her?
I asked the admin level because there used to be a thing (not sure about 3.5.2) where Level 4 admins would get results like that. It's because they're not actually meant to see the admin panel. That's part of why telling us the admin level is important. Also, knowing the full text of the fatal error is important because it helps tell us the problem. It's unusual for it to read only "A fatal MySQL error was encountered." But I suppose it could happen. Clarity on that issue would be appreciated.
You should fill out the Support Request Template.
I changed the level and it works!
Cool. Level 4 admins are really "admins" in the most traditional sense. You give that status to someone who you want to be able to post at an archive that is closed to general submissions. For example, this is for archives that are a small group of friends or some such, and don't want other unapproved people to be able to post. For the other levels, what they can do is controlled in Admin > Panels.
