I have the site set up to automatically validate, and no one else seems to have problems, but a handful of members have said they've tried to post a story and it wouldn't let them. It would give them an "Not Authorized to use this function" error message.

Not sure what that could be about. I don't know if anyone else had had issues or not. It only seems to be selective.
Thanks for any help.

Did you check your site settings?  Do you have the site set to only allow authorized authors to post?

Yes. That's not it. I have it set where all members can post with no validation. We have over 70 stories on there so far and only a handful of people have had problems. Everyone else the site lets them post like normal. I thought maybe it was the posters just didn't know how to post, but it gave them both that message when they tried to upload.

Have them use the "Remember me" checkmark when signing in.  My best guess is that they're losing their login while they're posting. It may be related to your previous issues.

Actually, now that you mention that, I had one reviewer leave me a review last night and it didn't post. She had to redo it again. It logged her out when she posted it. The second time it took her review though and she reviewed at the same time as one of the other girls. I don't know why it targeted just her though. I guess the same issue could be said for the posters. It was only two that I know of. Everyone else has done great. Grrrr, OK, I guess I need to go to my host again and see what the deal is.
Thanks so much, Tammy. You are always so helpful.

It may not be a host issue in this case.  If the poster takes too long filling out the form, it'll time out their session and they won't be logged in.

Oh, that's a great piece of info to know. That could be it too since it was only a handful. Do you know the exact timing of that or is it just in general? Thanks for letting me know. I'll ask them if they took a while. If that's not the case, I'll contact my host and see what the deal is.
Thanks again.
