I was wondering how I turn a member into an author? After a user signs up it seems they can't post stories. Help? I'm not sure what to do or where to go to turn them into an author?

First, is your archive open to submissions by everyone? Admin > Settings > Submissions Settings > "Turn of unsolicited submissons." If you want anyone to be able to post, then make sure this is "no." If you don't want everyone to be able to post, but do want certain people to do so, then make the person in question a level 4 admin. That's what level 4 is designed for.
