Is it possible to exchange IM and other custom fields on the profile site with this cute tiny images on the images folder?
Let's say I use facebook, twitter, skype etc. and put my info in every field (already uploaded icons)
Instead of having a link like this
Livejournal: http://artphilia.livejournal.com
Facebook: http://artphilia.facebook.com
Twitter: http://artphilia.twitter.com
I would love to have it look like this (every icon linked to my sites of course)
Contact: 
etc.
Is that possible?

Sure! I've done that on my site to shrink down the space needed for linking to stuff. See it in action on my profile:

To do that, you need to edit fields in the Profile Information to show images instead of text. For Twitter, the link would look like this:
<a href="" http://www.twitter.com/{info}"><im g" src=""/images/twitter.gif"" border=0></a>
This is the code on my profile.tpl now. But the links aren't working. The images are there, but the links don't work. What have I done wrong?

Ah no, you don't edit that in your templates, but in your admin menu. Simply go to Admin and then Profile Information. Then choose one (Twitter, Livejournal and so forth) and edit the field "ID with URL" to show what you want to eventually appear in your members' profiles.
