State the nature of your problem: We have just moved to 1and1.com (from eleven2.com). Everything seems to be working fine (all the problems we were having with our old host have gone), EXCEPT now this new issue that we were NOT having with the old host has come about. Basically, people are updating fine, but SOME (not all, which makes this harder) of the stories' dates don't update. Which is then stopping those stories from showing up in the Most Recent section, and it's stopped the Tracking add-on from working properly too. I have already tried contacting our new host, and all they sent back was "We would like to inform you that there is nothing wrong with our database. The only reason for that it is because of the slow loading of update on your website. Have a nice day!" - Which as you can see is very unhelpful. Besides, it's not a slow loading thing because the stories are updating. They're loading. But the date seems to be getting stuck somehow, and I don't know how to fix it.

I ended up going in and changing the date format display, and I think it fixed a lot of the problems. But there are two authors in particular who's stories just seem "locked". And it's only ONE of their stories. One author has about 23 stories and only 1 is having the issue, and the other author has about 5 stories and only 1 is having the issue.
It's really frustrating..
Can you describe what you mean by "locked"? Is it the problem you noticed before? Can you link to those stories?

"He Made You Perfect" is the one she's having problems with. All the other fics' date stamp updates when she adds new chapters, but He Made You Perfect refuses to budge. I have to go in and manually change the date for it, otherwise it won't show up on the Most Recent list and people using the Tracking plugin can't tell when it's been updated.
And just for your information, this is not only happening to featured/past featured fics.

Hmm... I've honestly never heard of this before. I don't think what your host says makes any sense; maybe if the chapters were like suuuuper long or something, but that would only show that they are not very good at their job... These are not large chapters and the fact that it's sticking only to a few select stories makes me wonder if something got messed up. It would be interesting to see if there was anything weird or different about those stories in fanfiction_stories than the other entries.
