Hi guys, I'm having a problem in my efiction.

Everytime a member creates a story, only the main categories appear in the list, the member can't add a sub-category. In the admin pannel, the place to view a category's sub-categories (the "+" sign next to the name of the category) isn't working. I click but nothing happens (but I already have the sub-categories created).
Regarding the characters, I have them associated to a category, but when a member creates a story the list is blank, even if the story is associated with that category.

Thanks in advance

What version of eFic are you at? These sound like bugs for certain browsers that were solved in 3.5.1 or 3.5.2.

Give us a link to your site. Most likely you've got some other bit if javascript installed on your site that's broken and therefore has broken all the rest of the javascript.

http://smpt-fanfics.web44.net

Regarding the "+" sign, the IE page gives back this error:

"Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 6.1; Trident/4.0; SLCC2; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET CLR 3.0.30729)

Date/hour: Fri, 2 Apr 2010 17:38:18 UTC

Message: Syntax Error
Line: 233
Charact: 3
Code: 0
URL: http://smpt-fanfics.web44.net/includes/javascript.js"

I just made a clean install, downloaded efiction again, but the error keeps going on

Unfortunately your host has temporarily shut you down to check for malicious content, so we can't look for ourselves. We'd also need a test account to check it out.

I looked at what that message points to and I'm not seeing any syntax problems, but it could be something browser-specific. IE 8, right? Did you try it in any other browsers? Or compatibility mode?

I tried with Firefox, the same thing happens =/

When the website is active again, you should click in "ENTRAR" at the top menu (the site is in portuguese, sorry ^^') and use the following info:

Name: Cosmos
Pass: 1234

In the "AREA PESSOAL" click on "ADICIONAR FANFIC"

The subcategories don't show up, neither thee Characters for the specific Main Category.

Thanks in advance!

No worries, I can make way way through Portuguese when I need to. (Also, the link URL give it away since they're in English still.)

So, I looked at your source on the page, and the problem seems to be some sort of analytics code added. I don't know if it was by you or your host.  It's at the bottom when you view the source. It might be having an effect, so if you can remove it, then I would suggest doing so and then see what happens.

Wow it worked!
It was a script that the host adds, but I was able to remove it.

Thanks so much Lyndsie  !
