URL to your eFiction: http://www.twcslibrary.net/test
Version of eFiction: 3.5.3
Have you bridged eFiction, if so with what?: No
Version of PHP: 3.4.9
Version of MySQL: 5.1.73
Have you searched for your problem: yes
If so, what terms did you try: edit story problem; edit story blank page
State the nature of your problem: When an admin tries to edit a story we get a blank page. It only happens when we try to edit the story, not a particular chapter. Here's a link http://www.twcslibrary.net/test/stories.php?action=editstory&sid=8867&admin=1. If we remove the &admin1 from the end of the link, the link will work. This is only happening on the new install and a transferred site. We are trying to move our archive to a new domain. The old domain works perfectly.

I'm so sorry about that. This move has caused so many problems. I finally got my test site back up and working. The links should now work. Thanks for taking the time to try to help me with this.

I see the error you're talking about, Jennmc75. The edit link having '&admin1' on the end is the same on my site, so that isn't the issue. Usually a white screen like that is due to some error in the php code. Without looking at your stories.php code, it would be really hard to tell what's causing the issue. Did you make any changes to the stories.php code?

I did not change any codes. My test site worked just fine until I made the edit from my test database to my current database with all of my site info. Everything still works just fine on my original site.

I tried to post my stories.php code but it is too many characters. Is there a specific range I can post?

Can you please verify that:

Version of PHP: 3.4.9
Version of MySQL: 5.1.73

are correct? (I hope that the PHP version isn't, because 3.4.9 is way too old).

Second, can you access the error.log pertaining to this server and post what shows up upon calling this url?

I looked at the PHP Info in my efiction Admin panel and it says version  5.3.3

On my server there is a file named error_log. Here's a link to it since it is too large to post here http://www.twcslibrary.net/error_log

Ok, 5.3.3 sounds far better and should not be an issue, the log file is an old one, timestamps are year 2010, so that's not helping much.

Will take another look at it tomorrow, my timezone just called and told me the days is over, sorry.

Are you using file-based storage? If so, maybe there's an issue with the folder.

Yes, it is file based. I'll reload my files and see if that solves it.  Thanks.

It's just a hunch, though, without a logfile I am working pretty blind.
