Because of this issue, i upgraded my efiction which screwed everything up. I deleted everything and installed a brand new one with new DB and al. However, this error still comes up despite the fact that I just installed efiction. I originally thought it was a corruption in my last install, but that is not the case.
I can't figure out what to chmod to help this, I thought perhaps the stories.php but that didn't help.
Whenever i click "Add a story" or "Manage Stories" I am taken to my Page not FOund 404 error page.
Any ideas what this is about?
Update: it is a 400 error, not a 404. Bad request.

It sounds like something with your host, not the script itself, I would try contacting your host, or see if anything is wrong with the server you're on.
I'm having the same issue. Have you had any luck?
