After numerous requests and attempts, we finally have a wiki to help with documentation located here: https://efiction.org/wiki .
This is, of course, an on-going project in many respects. There are a few pages, but many more are needed. Also, the wiki hasn't been styled yet and some of the pages/categories need organizing. More documentation is needed for the wiki itself too. All that will come with time (hopefully!) which I currently seem to be without because I just moved.
Enjoy what's there and make your own contributions. You can log in with your SMF username and password.
