I couldn't find this covered anywhere so here I go...
I was just wondering if it's possible yet to make a category accept less words then the whole site. What I mean is I set a 600 word limit for my site yet there are some who want to post poems etc. which hardly ever reach 600 word. So I'd like to let the Poems category accept less words but I'm not sure it's possible.

It's not possible. You'd have to heavily edit stories.php.
