I was told to look into CSS to put seperations between my recent stories, but I can't find CSS. I've looked everywhere. I must be missing it. Can someone lead me to the right direction or tell me how to add the seperations? Or maybe some bars seperating the stories?

CSS stands for Cascading Style Sheets, and these days is basically inseparable from HTML. Together they work as the markup language that skins are coded in. Each skin has .tpl files that are HTML. Most reference id's and and classes that are defined in the CSS. The CSS is usually in the file called style.css. Typically the HTML in the TPLs is the backbone of the structure for putting in the variables created in the PHP files, and the CSS creates the design elements, like color, and also controls the placement of elements on the page (except in some skins which may use tables, though this is more likely to be found in older skins).

What is probably meant is for you do edit the style.css file for the skin. You may also be able to do that by editing listings.tpl. It would depend on the skin.

I would really suggest you look into learning HTML/CSS, since it will be invaluable. The w3schools has free lessons.
