URL to your eFiction: http://childrenoftime.creative-musings.com/archive
Version of eFiction: 3.5
Have you bridged eFiction, if so with what?: no
Version of PHP: can be found out from your host 5
Version of MySQL: can be found out from your host 5
Have you searched for your problem: (yes/no) Yes
If so, what terms did you try: validating/submissions
State the nature of your problem: Copy and paste any errors you are receiving. No errors showing up for this one.

When you go into the admin>submissions  to validate stories, if you click in the link to the story itself you get the box with the title/characters/ratings etc, but no story. Same if you click on teh chapter link. You have to click on the "validate" link to see the story. Is it supposed to be that way? With teh trouble I'm having from https://efiction.org/forums/index.php?topic=6696.0 , and the fact neither 1.1 or 2.0.7 works this way I'm a bit confused.

And I do still need help with taht other question as well.

Do you have a test account for us?  Not an admin account no. I can add one though if needed. but the regular test account is shannon730/tinchair45

I think it depends on a couple of things, but it sounds normal.

You can choose whether or not to display the story index.

1)  Under admin > settings > display settings, there's "Use story index".  If it's on, you'll see the info box and the list of chapters for each story, with the following caveat.

2) There is also an individual option for members to choose which they prefer in their profiles.  Account info > Edit preferences > "Display table of contents for stories"

When you click the story title on the left, you're viewing the story in "normal" mode, so depending on what's going on with points 1 and 2, you could be seeing it or you could not be.  Also, sometimes with the warnings it forces it to the TOC regardless.

You won't get validation options by clicking on the left, anyway, so click 'validate' to view the chapter in question and that's where you'll get the admin links for the yes/no letters and accept/reject, anyway.

When you are looking at the queue of stories just click validate. It will take you to the chapter. I know it seems odd but it works.
