URL to your eFiction: http://www.sailormoonfiction.com/transition/index.php?skin=CSSZen
Version of eFiction: v.2.0.6 to 3.3.1
Have you bridged eFiction, if so with what?: no
Version of PHP: 4.4.6
Version of MySQL: 4.1.22
Have you searched for your problem: (yes)
If so, what terms did you try: Looking at other errors, searching and reading the help files

State the nature of your problem:
After uploading all the new files over my 2.0.6 files (I do have backups !) I re-visited my site and ran through the upgrade script. There was a bit of an error as my config hadn't been cmod'd correctly, but I corrected that and re-ran the script. At this point I did receive some duplicating errors which I put down to running the upgrade again - however it seems that not all the tables had been added correctly. I added them manually from the doc file and then re-visited my site.

No errors, however there is nothing there. The basic layout is there, but there is no data filling in the gaps !! I'm guessing that something has gone wrong with the blocks [?] par oft he code, but my coding is r.o.u.g.h. to say the least.

Do you have a test account for us?
No but I could create or give admin access if needed.

Kindest regards

In your Admin Panel, what are your stories saved under, your database or files? Try switching that option and see if it helps.

I see you reverted back to 2.x, it's too bad. Hard to diagnose without it seeing it in action.

For instance when it converted over were the authors in your stories folder (if you were saving to the stories folder), changed to a number or were the folders still under their pennames?

If you were using stories folder, was it chmod to 777 or 755?

Hi,

I reinstalled a backup as I think I need to re-read the instructions and make sure that I know what I'm doing. Apologises to all who followed the link and saw no issue. When looking through my stories folder I see some are stored as names and some as numbers - is this an issue?

Sounds like part of the problem...but it could be that when you uploaded your backup, the names are from the backup and the numbers were the converted names to UIDs from the upgrade.

When I had a blank page issue, I couldn't narrow down the exact cause, I do know that when I tried re-uploading the 3.x files, that it fixed it.  Just saying...as it's another option to try if you get the same result when you try upgrading. πŸ˜€

Please please PLEASE ignore me. I was trying to upgrade late at night and was obviously missing a brain cell.

I believe I have everything corrected now (I must have thought the upgrade had finished and exited half way through)
