Hi, I've tried searching to see if anyoen had the same problem, but now luck.

I have 5 categories listed in one column. The first 4 are formatted the way I want them to be, but for some reason the last category has this line break and I can't get rid of it. I've tried changing it in admin -> blocks and  in my variables.php. All the other categories change, but this one doesn't.  And it's like this in all the skins, including the one I'm currently working on. Can anyone help me?

Do you use tinyMCE? If so, is it possible that, when you added the category description in the admin panel, you had the style set as paragraph for that one? Because I see in the source code that it added a paragraph tag, not just a linebreak - which made me think of that.

If you go back to your admin settings for that category, see if it's set as in this image.

If so, simply select all the description text, and remove the paragpah format (simply put it to Format instead of Paragraph) and see if it fixes anything.
