When I try to edit any story/chapter while logged in as an admin, my computer (as well as others) crash and the page cannot/doesn't load.
I have tried editing on many computers and they all crash.
Is it the computers or is it something wrong with the site
please help!

Your site has been hacked. Reinstall it and delete the bridges folder in which the most recently published vulnerability lies.
Mine hasn't been crashing or anything, but has mine been hacked too? I started a thread in the bugs section where no one could add new chapters or edit existing ones. Should I try and re-install and then re-insert my data?

I'm pretty sure this is a bug, Dreamy. Mine's doing the same thing after some recent server upgrades.
I really don't know why this thread was moved out of the bugs forum...
it may be the skin you're using. I had a problem like yours where the site would crash and I'd have to close it and reopen it. There is another thread about this on these forums and the person who started it discovered it was the skin they were using. In my case I removed the skin and the one it was based on and everything is now fine.
It doesn't crash though, it just times out--nothing happens. I'm pretty sure it's not the skin because it was working fine last week. I can't imagine how the skin would have any effect on story uploads, though I know people have had that problem...
