Someone mind explaining what the heck this means? As in how the heck do I change that stupid line of text on the index page.

Log in as Admin
Click on Settings
Click on Welcome Message
And change the message there.
The welcome message is there to show you what and where a welcome message would be on the page. You don't want the "stupid" line there just remove it.

All of this you could have figured out for yourself if you'd done as instructed in the READ THIS BEFORE POSTING thread or used common sense by looking at your options in the admin area (including the settings) and reading the manual.
