I was wondering if there was any way to turn off the submit a challenge option on version 3. I didn't even realize it, but my old site had been COMPLETELY (and I mean over 10 thousand of these) run over by SPAM challenges submitted by random viewers of my site. I have no idea how to get rid of it at all, and since my old site used version 2, I decided to stop delaying the inevitable and just completely rebuild my site using version 3, hoping that there's some way to either get rid of all the challenges at once or to stop people from being able to submit them.
if anyone can help me on this, I would greatly appreciate it. I'm extremely aggravated but all the spam I've been getting. >.<

Edited by Carissa: Do not change the font of your posts to make it smaller. That also makes it harder to read.
In 3.0, Challenges are a seperate module. I think if you have challenges to start with, it might keep them, but then you can just uninstall it. Otherwise, just don't install the challenges module.
There's also captcha scripts on all the anonymous things, that could help keep the spammers away.
To clean out your challenges, you can just empty the table with one click. If you have some challenges that you want to keep then follow the advice in this thread: https://efiction.org/forums/index.php?topic=4837.0
The page title in the skin you are using is a graphic. The name is 'painted' on. 🙂

To change the graphic on your page so it doesn't say kamekichi, go to your skins/images folder. Look for the file called 'top_image.png'. Open it in Paint or whatever graphics program you have on your computer and create a flie that's the same size and type in the name of your site. Save it as top_image.png and replace it in your webserver files. Then the next time you go to the site the kamekichi part will be called whatever you named your website.
But yes, turn captcha on in your site so folks won't spam you anonymously. I didn't have challenges spammed, but I did get reviews spammed until the move to 3.0 included captcha. You find that under Admin->Settings->Site Settings
