URL to your eFiction: http://www.endless.animara.org/index.php
Your version of eFiction: 3.3.1
Latest Patche(s): Yes
Any mods installed?: No
Have you modified your eFiction?: No.
Version of PHP: 4.4.2
Version of MySQL: 4.1.21-standard
Have you searched for your problem: Yes
Other Notes: none
State the nature of your problem: I've tried to delete images through the manage images area, but they simply won't delete.  I don't even receive an "the action was successful" message.  The image doesn't disappear or anything.

I've tried uploading different types of images (gif, jpg, etc.) and it seems like only certain ones won't delete.

I've looked through the topics and found https://efiction.org/forums/index.php?topic=1962.msg11302#msg11302 but the question was never answered.

Try upgrading to 3.3.1 and see if the problem got resolved.

I upgraded.  The problem is still there.  To get rid of the images I have to manually delete them from within the cpanel.

It seems like any .jpg images and some .gif images will not delete from my account.  I have no problems deleting .png (that I know of)

I don't know near enough about scripting to figure this out for myself.

Give some example file names.  This generally happens if you put spaces or symbols in the file name.

I had no idea that that was the case, as such I've noticed that the images that don't delete tend to look like this: img src=""stories/1/images/Aerith_&_Sephiroth_-_Flower.jpg"

So I'm guessing it doesn't like the "_-_" at the end or maybe the "_&_"?

It's the &.  Think of DOS file names for websafe names.  Alpha-numeric plus - and _ characters.  Nothing else.  No spaces, no symbols.

Thanks for the help!  I'll remember to tell anyone uploading images on my site the same thing.
