I just upgrade my site http://www.fanficnation.net/index.php to the latest version (3.4.3), everything looks to be working fine except...now all stories at initial look show the former admin as the co-author of them all. I have looked to see if there was already support for that issue, but I haven't found it.
Also, the challenges module does work...I can click and add challenge but when I go to click a category it says "Back To Main Category" ... it won't let me click to go back nor will it let me add anything. My initial problem was concerning challenges, I thought updating would help, it didn't. (The initial problem was challenges not appearing at all, after update, nothing.)
Help please!
and now, apparently, there are no co-authors .... I'm clueless.
Can someone, anyone, please help me?
All the stories previously on the site before the upgraded have the same co-author and no one, including myself, can add co-authors to their stories. I can go in a manually delete the former Admin as co-author from all the stories, but there are tons of stories.
PLEASE help!
Ok, I figured out the Challenge problem. (Skin.)
So my problems are still the co-author thing (everyone has same co-auther, former admin & no one can add co-authors). Also, no one can click on categories.
I am not understanding why no one has attempted to help me. Am I doing something wrong? Did I not include the right information?
It's only been a day, you need to give it time, (we are volunteers and do this in our spare time) it does however help a bit when you fill out the Support Request template. Did all the steps go through when you ran the upgrade? Or did you run into any problems?

Apparently I overlooked the template and did not mean to do so, when I went looking for it, I must have been looking hard enough.
URL to your eFiction: www.fanficnation.net
Version of eFiction: latest version 3.4.3
Have you bridged eFiction, if so with what?: I am not sure what this mean, call me naive, but I am not aware of what this means in these senses.
Version of PHP: 5.2.6
Version of MySQL: 5.0.45-community-log
Have you searched for your problem: Yes, I have found similar problems that could help, but none that actually deal directly with my problem.
If so, what terms did you try:
State the nature of your problem: I have not received error messages, which I assume is a good thing, but I am currently experiencing the following problems (after the upgrade). The former admin (and #1 member I assume) shows up on all stories as co-author. (I have manually went in a corrected the stories visible right off hand on the site, but there are several, tons left).
I also found that as far as co-authors go, no one can add co-authors and the co-author function is turned on.
And finally, I have discovered that when submitting a new story or challenge that picking a Category does not work. Clicking on the name (our categories are drivers' names) it just says BACK TO MAIN MENU and that's all. This is causing no new stories to be added at the current time.
Do you have a test account for us? I do not, I can make one if need be, no problems.
As far as the upgrade, I did not come across in problems in the process. Everything went perfectly, I thought. So, I don't know what happened.
The ones where the admin is also the co-author, had the admin added the stories for the authors?

No. The former admin is the "co-author" on 95 % of the stories, at least that is how it appears currently.
Did you update all you files? This seems to be a case of the database being updated and the files being a previous version.

I am not sure. HOw would I know the difference? I just simply upgraded to the newest version of eFiction.
Re-upload the 3.4.3 files again. I think you may have missed some.

ok that worked and fixed all the problems (i believe) however i have found a new problem...the co-author function. i have it turned on and with this new version of eFiction and the box you click the name right, well the name appears but when you go to click it, it goes away...what shall i do
The way co-author works in mine is there is a search box above the co-author box. you type in the first letter of the person you want as a coauthor and a list appears, you select it and click on it and it appears in the coauthor box.

yeah i know that. but after clicking them in the co-author box they go away, so you actually don't pick anything.
