URL of site: http://fanfics.suethomasfbeye.net (one of the story links is http://fanfics.suethomasfbeye.net/viewstory.php?sid=7)
eFiction version: 3.3
skin used: any of the skins used, even CSSZen shows the stories without the story index
Is there a test account? Yes - contact me for login information. That account is a level 2 admin.
The weirdest thing is that on my test site, the story index displays perfectly fine ( http://library.suethomasfbeye.net/viewstory.php?skin=supernatural&sid=7) and I copied the entire skins from there and even went so far as replacing all the files on my efiction install on the live site with the ones from the test site since it was working there. But no go.
I'm pretty flabberghasted here.

Where's your problem? The story index page displays as it should. But maybe you have to enable the "use story index" setting in "your account" area?
Are you looking at my test site cause if so.. yes it shows just fine as I want it to. But the live site, which is the url shown at the top of my post, goes straight to the story and not to any kind of index.
And as I said, in the admin section, I have the Display Story Index enabled.

There are 2 places to set "Use Story Index" The admin panel covers guests and any new accounts, however accounts created before the change will see what is set in there account settings.
As a guest I am seeing the story index as well. Check your account and adjust the setting there.
ah. Thanks guys. I guess it changed my settings from the 2.0 install where I had use story index set to yes... and turned it off to no by default?!?
Thanks a lot.
