State the nature of your problem:
I've searched every single board on here looking for an explanation for why this isn't working...
My friend and I have uploaded a handful of our stories for testing, and they upload fine, but they don't show up. I'm not bridged to anything, I created the stories folder, I changed the CHMOD to 777, I checked the paths, and my host isn't on safe mode. Also, the folders in the story folder are numbered. This is a brand new install (v3.2), I had no previous versions prior. I haven't installed any mods or touched anything.
Debug is on as I read that it could help identify the problem, but I had the same problems while it was off.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
edit: i fixed it myself, had to do a complete reinstall and tell it to store things in the database from the get-go. sorry for wasting everyone's time.
You only have two author folders in your story folder, so I'm guessing you had been storing stories in the database, then switched to files. You can't do that. Try changing the method of storing stories to mysql and see if they show up.
thanks for replying carissa, but no dice. i've had it storing to files from the start.
