of course I have. I've been checking it everytime this happens.
Go in and change it to something else, and double check that it changed. Then change it back.
Sometimes the settings say that they are something they are not, and just submitting it again, doesn't change it.

ok, i've asked someone to register as a new member and the main site did not lose the theme. i'll keep testing this to see how it goes.
Still having probs with problem 1 though and haven't worked out, see quote. i'm currently trying to work out why this happens. It's as though the two databases aren't in sync.
1. Logging in: when a user logs in via the eFiction site, it redirects to SMF, then when the user goes back to the main site, it keeps them logged in. HOWEVER, if the user logs in via SMF and then goes into the main site, it asks them to log back in. Why does it do this? Also, sometimes, when you log out via SMF, you get an error message about the url not being defined. Help me!!!
Try only having the log-in on the eFiction site that redirects to the forum. Make the forum one use the same one. I think that you might only be able to use one log-in correctly.
The log-out- check the url that is listed and compare it to the one you can use fine. Do they match?

OK, i'll give this a go. Do I just change the link in the php file of SMF?

I'll check the link sometime this weekend and see how i get on.
thank you.
I've changed the URL for the logout button of SMF to the logout link of efiction and this seems to work fine.
Curently, the issues with SMF and eFiction is now solved and can be closed and if I encounter anymore problems I will create another thread with the new problem.
Thank you to everyone who has helped me with getting my efiction site integrated with SMF. Now i'm so happy it works.
