[solved] Remove Choice of Skin?

yeah, if I were you i'd edit the default_tpls to be the same skin as the skin you created and are using. Make sure that you back it up first though, in case you want to make more skins and allow people to choose later on.

I'd edit the text in default_tpls to be German.  I think someone might have done this already.  That way I think you'd be able to use any skin you want.  Do not delete default_tpls!  Editing is fine.  Just don't delete it.

Nope, not solved yet.

The site is in german, but I use the skin called library. Now, for some reason the german site registrants have the choice and unfortuanately they do choose the german_default skin which of course I don't want them to do.

The default.tpls reads:

<!-- INCLUDE BLOCK : listings -->
<!-- INCLUDE BLOCK : footer -->

There is not much to edit, is there?

Take a look at the site:

Click on Einloggen, registrieren, scroll down and find Skin.

Okay, I must not have understand what you want.  If you just don't want them to have the option, delete it.  If you want to hide it,  did you look at your admin settings?  There's one that says "Skins" that's pretty self-explanatory.

Admin->Skins. Click on the skin you want to hide.

Do you mean on the website?
Ok, I'm logged in, go to Admin, settings, there is a long list of options, there is default skin. It's set on library. The one I want.
Ok, I'm opening dreamweaver and go online. I back up the default_german folder to my computer.
Deleted it.
Checking it.

Don't forget to go back through your authors' preferences and change their skin selections if they picked the one you deleted.

I hope that won't be necessary, there are kinda many members  😛

you can do a search to see which members picked the old skin. Use phpmyadmin and look at the tables where the skin type is stored. Edit the ones that have the old skin listed. Sorry I can't walk you through it.

Thank you, I asked my webmistress and she told me what to do. I found some and have changed their skin.
